Job Description
The Casual Heritage Assistant will support the Adventist Heritage Director and team by assisting with a range of tasks, projects, and day-to-day operations. This includes helping to collect, preserve, and restore records related to the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific.
Reporting directly to the Adventist Heritage Director, the assistant will be engaged on an as-needed basis during periods of increased activity at the Adventist Heritage Centre and Sunnyside Museum. During these times, the role may require approximately 8–10 hours of work per week.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Practising, baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission, values and beliefs.
• Be eligible to hold the appropriate Seventh-day Adventist Church licence.
• A working knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist church and its management throughout the SPD.
• Ability to work cohesively in a team and be supportive of the wider organisation’s strategic direction for Adventist Heritage.
• Well-developed computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organised, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated.
• High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
• Skill in searching and maintaining online and other electronic retrieval systems.
• Skilled or familiarity with social media production and maintenance.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people from varied roles and backgrounds.
• Current paid NSW working with children check.
Please note: This job will require a certain degree of physical activity, including some standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying of light to medium items.
